Meet you where you are March 2018 Challenge

Meet you where you are March 2018 Challenge

We are in the last month of the 1st quarter of 2018. How are you doing with your weight release goals? Exercising? Eating healthy? Well, I am planning to do a challenge starting on Monday, March 5 to close out the first quarter of the year blowing out our goals. It would be great to do this together!.

Because we are all in different stages of our health and fitness goals, I thought I would create a challenge to meet you where you are while adding a little nudge of increase. It’s really simple to join the challenge. Send your email address via DM or send an email with the subject line: ‘Count Me In’ to plantbasedvegansistah@gmail.com. I will send out a weekly email, with motivation, tips, and sharing the progress of the group.

Here are the deets:
1. Exercise/Movement: Incorporate some form of exercise/movement for 30 minutes 1 extra day than you would normally. For instance, if you don’t exercise at all, workout at least 1 day for 30 min. If you normally workout 4 days make it 5 days for 30 minutes. If you are already maxed out on days then add an extra 15 minutes to your routine.

2. Tracking: Because weight release is pretty basic in that we must taken in less then we expend in order to release so sometimes it’s helpful to know what we take in. With that being said, track your meals for at least 5 days per week(this gives a little room) but if you feel inclined, go for tracking the whole 7 days. Please share your tracking tool with the group. I use the LoseIt app which is pretty cool, but find what works for you.

3. Meals: Share a picture of your fave all vegan/plant-based meal for the week in the FB group created. Yep, one vegan/plant-based meal per week. If you are already eating vegan/plant-based meals, then please share your fave dish for the week and include the recipe. This is to inspire us all to try new recipes and have some fun sharing what we eat. I will then randomly select a pic and recipe to share within my social networks.

4. Sign-up for the challenge by sending email with the subject line: ‘Count Me In’ to plantbasedvegansistah@gmail.com or commenting on the Facebook or Instagram post with ‘Count Me In’ to receive a weekly email with motivation, tips, sharing the progress of the group and gain access to the newly created private FB group I would like to build community with the challenge so participation is highly encouraged.

When posting your pics and updates, please use the hashtag #PBVeganSistahMarch18Challenge. You can post to the Facebook page or to Instagram @plantbasedvegansistah.

If anyone has suggestions with regards to this challenge please leave a comment below I can possibly incorporate the suggestion.

Let’s do this and have some fun enjoying the journey.

Be good to you,

Tamiko

Recipe Notes:  Making these brownies with the coconut flour may have made them a little dry, so I would suggest trying a lighter flour like perhaps almond flour. I might also suggest adding a bit of applesauce for a little more moisture.  The other option […]
