This month the popular Vegan Curious event is traveling across the Bay Bridge to the Fillmore Heritage Center at 1330 Fillmore, Sunday, March 24, 2019, 10am – 3pm! I am so excited to have this event in a community where I lived in my young adult days and hung out as a teenager at Juneteenth! Anyone remember Fillmore Street back in the day?
I am working in partnership with Ge’Lan Organic Beauty Queen, The Fillmore Heritage
This month we are focusing on breakfast foods, as I have heard the following statements a time or two, “What do vegans eat for breakfast?” “I love my eggs and I don’t want to give them up – because what is breakfast without eggs and bacon!” Well, I am here to tell you that there are plenty of options for breakfast and guess what, you don’t have to give up flavor nor the protein. Yeah, I heard what you said about protein. (side eye)
Secondly, we will touch on fitness since exercise does aide in releasing weight and gaining a little muscle to help boost that metabolism that slows down as we age. As we mature in life, it is important to incorporate physical movement that helps with bones, heart, and metabolism. Come out and hear what our panel of experts have to say about fitness and how to make sure you see fitness as a lifestyle journey while reaping all the benefits and keeping your sexy! Get your fine on:)!!
